My husband’s mother is a Ware. Her grandfather was James Ware of Bridgwater who later moved to Cardiff/penarth as a steam ship owner.

Information on my Grandmother Caroline Pocock nee Wallace?

I was looking for information about my grandmother, Caroline Pocock nee Wallace. According to my dad, she died in Bridgwater around 1934 and was a member of the Salvation Army in Bridgwater.

My Grandfather was William G. Pocock, a fisherman who lived in Salmon Parade.

My father was a bit of a criminal as a youngster and spent his younger years in prisons across the country. He later became a Christian and a Salvation Army minister. He spent 40 years running some of the Salvation Army’s hostels.

Because of his earlier past though, he was disowned by his family and I know of no living relatives on his side. I can’t even find a death certificate of his mother.

I would be grateful of anything you have.

I am researching the PAT(T)ON family and wondered where I can find out any information on George PATTON who was MP for Bridgwater for about 5 weeks in 1866.
